Brazen Thieves Target ATMs Across New England

LAWRENCE, Mass. (WBZ) ― Police are on the lookout for a gang of brazen thieves who are suspected of robbing ATM's across New England over the past three years. This past weekend they broke into the District Courthouse in Lawrence and tried to smash and grab an ATM there. According to police, the thieves used a large vehicle to back through a window at the courthouse to gain access to the ATM. They then tried to load the ATM into the truck or van and take off. However it was bolted to the floor, so instead they broke into the ATM and took the cash inside. "The intention was to drag the machine out, but that wasn't possible, because it was anchored," said Lawrence Police Chief, John Romero. "(There was) a lot of broken glass, clearly pried open with probably a crow bar, it's quite a mess." The same group of thieves is suspected of stealing cash from an ATM from the Federal Credit Union in Methuen Sunday night, using a card with a magnetic strip to gain entry.

Monroe man arrested for using mother’s credit card without ...

A Monroe man was arrested today on felony charges for stealing his mothers Visa credit card number and charging more than $2,442 to the account without her permission.

Jacob Harper, 19, 158 Springhill Road, Monroe, was charged with felony theft by Ouachita Parish sheriffs deputies.

According to the arrest report, Harper took the credit card number from his mom in December. He and his girlfriend Tabatha Mercer used it between December and January on 53 occasions.

Mercer was arrested Thursday. She was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center and her bond is set at $10,000.

Harper also was booked into OCC where he awaits a bond hearing.

Visual Sciences Reports Option Grants Under NASDAQ Marketplace Rule ...

The options have a seven-year term and, subject to the terms and conditions of the Visual Sciences, Inc. 2006 Employment Commencement Equity Incentive Award Plan, vest over four years as follows: 25 percent of the shares subject to each option will vest on the one year anniversary of the grant date of each option; and the remaining 75 percent of the shares subject to each option will vest in 36 equal monthly increments during each of the second, third and fourth years thereafter.

Pursuant to Nasdaq Marketplace Rule 4350 (i)(1)(A)(iv), the options were granted on November 5, 2007 under Visual Sciences' 2006 Employment Commencement Equity Incentive Award Plan, which Visual Sciences' board of directors adopted to facilitate the granting of stock options as an inducement to new employees to join Visual Sciences.
